Born in San Francisco and raised in Concord, CA, I began working on my own pianos in the early ’70s while studying Music Theory, Harmony, and Piano at Diablo Valley College. I started professionally in 1972 as a tuner and technician for Stevens Music in Concord before relocating to Los Angeles, where I soon tuned for my first celebrity client—Sammy Davis Jr. From there, my career expanded into concert piano tuning for artists such as Steely Dan, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and The Allman Brothers. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with musical icons like Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, and Bonnie Raitt, as well as actors including Chevy Chase, Sharon Stone, and Sally Field. My work has taken me to prestigious venues like the House of Blues, NBC Studios, and Malibu Performing Arts Center.
